Emergency services raced to Beauly Avenue and Beauly Square in the Kirkton area of the city after the alarm was raised at around 7.45pm on Tuesday.
Riot police have descended on a street in Dundee this evening following reports of a large scale disturbance.Fires have been set off in nearby Craigmore Street, where youngsters have reportedly been trashing an empty house. According to the Courier, a mob chased away uniformed police, who have been replaced by riot police in an attempt to calm the situation. It's understood fireworks have also been set off.
On Halloween last year riot police raced to the Kirkton area after a bonfire erupted into violence. Louts were filmed recklessly throwing fireworks and burning roadblocks were lit in a street. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police and emergency services are in attendance at a disturbance and fire in the Beauly Avenue and Beauly Square area of Dundee. Officers were called to the area around 7.45pm this evening .”
