The Prime Minister will seek to strengthen digital trade ties with the US by cutting red tape in the UK's services sector

International Trade Ministersaid the UK was still holding talks with the US in areas where the Government believes there could be opportunities that sit outside of a full trade deal.

He added that talks are also ongoing with individual states in the US, which also have “digital aspects”.– such as commerce and services over the internet – is worth £151bn to the UK economy and employs 5 per cent of the British workforce and is expected to grow dramatically over the coming years. Ministers believe such a deal with the US would open up even greater opportunities for the UK’s services sector, such as finance, engineering and advertising.
