Further rail strike action to be taken on railways between 24 - 27 December, RMT boss says
RMT General Secretary Mick Lynch said further strike action with Network Rail would take place between 24 and 27 December, during the Christmas closedown period. RMT boss Mick Lynch has announced another wave of strike action from Network Rail workers which will target engineering work over the Christmas period, between 24 December and 27 December.
But he also said more strike action with Network Rail would go ahead between 6 pm on 24 December and 6 am 27 December, during the Christmas close-down period. Yesterday, the RMT rejected the latest offer from the Rail Delivery Group , the organisation which represents the rail companies, saying it was not happy with its offer of an 8 per cent pay rise over two years.
