The project to replace white lines and studs will get under way on Monday, November 6
An 8km section of the A9 between Pitlochry and Killiecrankie will have overnight lane closures and convoy systems enforced over 10 weeks as part of road-marking works.
The project will only take place between the hours of 7pm and 6am, with a completion date set for January 27, 2024. “We’d like to apologise for the disruption caused to motorists and residents which occurred initially when phase two of our project began on Monday,” an SGN spokesperson said.“The project involves essential upgrade work to ensure a continued safe and reliable gas supply to the local area.
From November 6 to Saturday, December 9 the A9 single carriageway between the southern Pitlochry Junction and the dual section at Faskally will be subject to night time two-way traffic lights with convoy.Junctions through the scheme extents will either be controlled manually by an operative or by a third traffic light signal to control traffic joining the A9.
For the single to dual transitions at each end, these areas will be subject to night time two-way traffic lights with convoy.
