Ronan Keating to return to stage at festival just days after beloved brother's tragic death
Irish popstar Ronan Keating is officially playing Finland's Vauhtiajojen Race and Rock Festival this coming weekend, despite the devastating loss of his brother Ciarán on Saturday.
Naturally, festival attendees won't have been surprised if Ronan had decided to drop his commitments, but gig bosses provided them with some news on Facebook, writing: "We have received a lot of inquiries regarding Ronan Keating's appearance at the Speed Drive 20 year event. We recently heard some sad news when Ronan's brother passed away in an accident.
Cork City also posted: "All at Cork City FC are deeply saddened at the passing of Ciarán Keating, father of our player Ruairí Keating. We extend our deepest sympathies to Ruairí and the entire Keating family at this exceptionally difficult time. May he rest in peace. We ask that the family's privacy be respected at this difficult time. Funeral arrangements will be confirmed in due course.
