Planned upgrade works to a major roundabout on the Perth and Kinross border which have been beset by persistent delays look set to finally begin this year.
Work is due to start later this year - Springfield has not confirmed an exact start - with completion anticipated for autumn 2024.Finalising the design and improvement plans for the roundabout has been a complex project involving a number of stakeholders, including Dundee City Council and Transport Scotland.
A row over the area, due to a lack of clarity over ownership, held back proceedings for a number of years. The village is often used as for shortcut by motorists to bypass the roundabout, from Riverside Drive to the A90 southbound at Bullionfield.It is already home to over 750 residents, a convenience store and a number of play parks.
