The Cliftonhill side return to league business tonight after seeing off Armadale Thistle in the South Challenge Cup

Albion Rovers boss Sandy Clark praised his players for getting the job done at Armadale Thistle, after a five-star show on the road sent them into the fourth round of the South Challenge Cup.

Clark said: “It was one of those games you’re expected to win because it’s lower-league opposition, but you’ve got to make sure you do things right. “It was a thoroughly professional performance, it was a good attitude, which you would expect anyway, and it was about being patient and doing the right things against a side who were trying to sit in and defend.

“They’re a good pairing, they work well together and both really enjoy scoring goals, which is great.“At 3-0 up at half-time it meant we could get a few players on the pitch who were needing game-time.
