It's now less than two weeks until Patrick Kielty takes over the reins
The new season of The Late Late Show is almost upon us as RTÉ's flagship programme gears up for its biggest shake-up in years.
However, while fans may be anticipating the change of host, one change they did not like the idea of was the potential removal of one of the show's iconic motifs - the owl. When the new logo for the show, which returns on September 15, was unveiled earlier this summer, the owl was notably absent from the presentation.
But this did not go down too well with viewers of the show, who called for the owl to be reinstated as they saw it as a hallmark of the show. It became even more synonymous with the show when Ryan Tubridy took over in 2009 and said: "I can tell you that the owl is not dead."The new promo shows the silhouette of the owl with the new programme colours, and shares the return date of the programme, now less than two weeks away.
