The presenter's been flooded with concerned comments after posting on Instagram about her 'lurgy'
Ruth Langsford has given fans a health update after revealing she has been struggling with illness all week. The Loose Women star was absent from the panel for three days this week, amid concerned messages from fans.
Alongside the post, Ruth wrote to her one million followers: "Got the Lurgy! So I’ve made myself a hot toddy and I’m going back to bed! Lemon, orange, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, honey and a big splosh of Irish whiskey."She also made herself a soup packed with vegetables and cooked with bone broth on Tuesday . She posted: "Still got the lurgy! Got out of my sick bed to make myself some healthy soup.
She wrote: "My 'lurgy' is actually a chest infection. So here I am on antibiotics and a steam vapouriser twice a day." Chest infections can be concerning in the over-60s, so it's good that Ruth has caught it on time and is getting treatment. Symptoms include a chesty cough, shortness of breath, chest pain, fever, headaches, muscle aches and tiredness.
