It’s the first promotion Wrexham’s owners, actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, have got on their CV since they took over the club during the pandemic.And the pair got fully involved in the party as the squad lifted the trophy, with Reynolds seen taking a swig of one of their bottles of champagne as they celebrated reaching semi-professional status.
Although their League Two status for next season is far from confirmed, the co-owners were also present for the men’s team’s victory.and kept a clean sheet, as Sam Dalby and ex-West Ham youth player Elliot Lee added to a York own goal to seal a 3-0 win and reach 97 points with seven games to go.
