A police spokesperson confirmed officers boarded the flight when it landed back in Manchester to arrest a man in his 30s
Police officers arrested a man after a Ryanair plane was turned around mid-flight due to his alleged drunk and disruptive behaviour.
The eyewitness added the passenger was "slapped hard across the face" by a woman travelling with him because of his alleged behaviour towards another female passenger. A spokesperson for Ryanair told the ECHO: "The crew of this flight from Manchester to Faro on September 18 requested police assistance after a passenger became disruptive on board.
"We sincerely apologise to affected passengers for any inconvenience caused as a result of this passenger’s disruptive behaviour."
