Very sad news to report
People in an area of Sutton have spoken about the "tragic" death of a woman in her sixties who fell from her mobility scooter into the road. Nottinghamshire Police says the woman was riding along Alfreton Road, just before 11am on Friday , when she fell near the junction with Willowbridge Lane.
Joe Mantle, 39, who has lived on Alfreton Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, for nine years, said: "It is tragic. I was actually at work when it happened, but I got a message from someone saying there was something going off down our end of the road."I came back and they had cordoned some of the road off, but it wasn't until the day after that I found out somebody had died and it was shocking to hear about it.
Dianne Carlin, 63, has lived on Willowbridge Lane for around six years. She said: "It's not nice at all and we don't actually know who it was that died, because it's not right to go asking around when it's somebody's life.
