The Food Standards Agency said packs of St Pierre 6 Pains Au Chocolat may be ‘unsafe to eat’ last Friday.Packs with one of the following best-before dates should be avoided:The FSA said: ‘If you have bought any of the above product do not eat it.The food safety watchdog also warned people who usually freeze their Pains au Chocolat to check their best-before dates.Food mould is a microscopic fungus which grows when old food starts to rot.
In rare cases, certain types of moulds in the right conditions can produce poisonous substances called mycotoxins.
