Sam has put his weight behind the prequel Outlander: Blood of my Blood
Sam Heughan has put his full support behind the Outlander prequel series focusing on Jamie Fraser's parents.
Speaking to the publication, he said: "Yeah, they’ve commissioned Blood of My Blood, about Jamie’s parents. I guess it’s a legacy, right? It’s what we’ve created. When we first went to Scotland and we created the studio where we shoot Outlander, there was nothing there and now it’s this huge facility.
In an announcement about the new series, showrunner Matthew B Roberts said: "Blood of My Blood is, at its heart, a love story. It will explore to what lengths a person will go to find love in a time when love is considered a luxury, and when marriages are made strategically, often for political or financial gain."
