San Francisco plans to expand its indoor proof of vaccination policies to include children ages five to 11 within the next few months
The move follows the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s unanimous stamp of approval on a kid-sized Pfizer dose for children in that age group on Wednesday. The CDC approved a kid-sized Pfizer dose for young children this week, prompting San Francisco to say it soon will require proof of vaccination for young kids to enter indoor spaces
The requirement has left some residents frustrated given that of the 664 San Francisco residents who have died from the coronavirus, none have been younger than 21,Children won’t be required to show proof of vaccination in San Francisco for at least another two months
