Cherry Tree Primary School in North Watford received the prize for its commitment to taking learning outside the classroom.
A Learning Outside the Classroom gold mark, the highest recognition of its kind, is given to a school which has shown it uses the outdoors to boost kids understanding on a day-to-day basis.Headteacher Cheska Tyler said: “Being awarded the gold mark is a tremendous achievement for our whole school community.
"We’re thrilled to get national recognition for our efforts, and we look forward to continuing to develop what we do."
