Mayla, 13, from Walsall was wearing box braids with red hair added
A SCHOOL that put a Black pupil in isolation for two days because of her “inappropriate hairstyle” has been blasted for discrimination.
Mayla, 13, had her hair in box braids which had red hair added to it after recently attending a wedding. The schoolgirl missed lessons while in isolation and had to work alone from books. Her mum went on to describe her daughter as “a good child” and the schools decision to put her in isolation as “absolutely disgusting”.
