A showery and thundery weekend is in store as the Met Office says it could issue national severe weather warnings.
Scots should get their waterproofs out ahead of what's set to be a very wet and possibly thundery weekend.
The Met Office deputy chief meteorologist, Rebekah Sherwin, said: "The notable change in our weather occurs through Saturday evening as increasingly humid air moves up from the south bringing thunderstorms and heavy downpours. These heavy showers and thunderstorms will spread across much of the UK through the day on Sunday with nowhere immune from the chance of seeing them.
"Temperatures are likely to be above normal early in the period, but trending average to fairly cool late in the period. It will probably be drier than average for most, particularly in the west and north-west."
