The Met Office has issued several warnings for snow and ice recently - here's when they're expected to come to an end
Parts of Scotland are facing freezing cold temperatures, icy pavements and snow today, as last week's cold snap shows no signs of slowing down.
The forecaster had issued a string of warnings for snow and ice for many parts of the country, warning people of significant delays whilst travelling and dangerous walking conditions. The second is another snow and ice warning, but covering a larger amount of areas. The Met Office said that snow and ice will lead to difficult travel conditions, and some slips are likely on icy surfaces. The forecaster said: "Wintry showers will affect many areas of northern Scotland and parts of northeast England during this period. A few centimetres of snow are likely to accumulate at low levels with the potential for as much as 15-20 cm over higher ground.
