The Met Office has placed certain regions under a warning for snow and ice on Christmas and Boxing Day
Parts of Scotland will be hit with snow and ice on Christmas and Boxing Day as the Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning.
On Sunday, December 25, blustery snow showers will hit areas in Central, Tayside & Fife, Grampian, Highlands and Strathclyde, the forecaster has predicted. Drivers are being urged to take care when making journeys as there could be icy icy patches on some untreated roads and pavements. Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train servicesThe Met Office said: "Strengthening west-northwesterly winds will bring increasingly frequent wintry showers to the west of Scotland through Sunday night and into Monday morning.
