Temperatures as low as -4C could chill northern and rural areas of Scotland on Friday into the weekend as the first snow of winter falls.
Scotland could see snow, frost and sub-zero temperatures this weekend in an early wintry freeze, the Met Office has said.
The Met Office predicted highs of 20C in London on Friday, but by Sunday, it forecasts highs of only 11C.
