John Mackie was originally jailed for life in 2007 for bludgeoning Mike Mosey to death
The 49-year-old, whose life sentence was reduced to 13 years on appeal, has been now returned to prison and will only be freed again when the Parole Board for Scotland deem it appropriate.
Mackie was originally jailed for life in 2007 for bludgeoning Mike, 58, to death in Braehead, Lanarkshire. He was released on licence in August last year. A manhunt was launched last month when vanished amid claims he broke the terms of his parole. Officers searched properties in Lanarkshire in a bid to trace him.The Parole Board for Scotland was contacted for comment.
