The Scottish SPCA have visited the breeder after the death of 10-week-old Clover
A Scots family have been left heartbroken after their rabbit died 'foaming at the mouth' just after they bought the pet from a Gumtree ad.
"There were five rabbits in the playpen with her and another smaller hutch with more rabbits that looked like the parents of the baby rabbits and then about 15 rabbits in total. A cause of death has been unable to be established by the vet but the SSPCA confirmed to Edinburgh Live that they visited the breeder and gave recommendations on how to care for animals. They will revisit the property to check if this has been followed in the near future.
"I'm sorry how it turned out. I was angry but it's sadly just something that happened no one can explain.
