The TUI flight from Tenerife to Aberdeen has been rescheduled three times with the holiday operator blaming weather disruption and lack of staff.
Dozens of Scots passengers have been left stranded in Tenerife for two days with their flight to Aberdeen rescheduled three times by operator TUI.
However, the flight was delayed again when a member of the cabin crew dropped out and the company was unable to operate the aircraft. Passengers learned a replacement crew member had been sourced and the flight was due to depart on Monday at 11.15pm. Pictures shared from the scene show passengers stuck waiting inside the terminal of the airport, not knowing what is happening. The airline say they have offered welfare vouchers to stranded customers and have profusely apologised.
"Customers have been sent welfare vouchers for refreshments, will be offered holiday vouchers as a gesture of goodwill, and will also be entitled to claim EU261 compensation. The flight will be returning to Aberdeen this evening.
