Sibling Kenny and Paul Dooley are getting ready to take on the London Marathon next year.
Two Scots brothers, who were the first siblings in the UK to donate their organs to complete strangers, are preparing for a new charity challenge next year.
Research shows that people with one kidney are at no greater risk of health problems than those with two. The brothers were ideal donor candidates as they are both healthy and have no family history of renal failure. Paul said: "I donated my kidney about eight years ago now and it's been a while since we've been involved in any fundraising so I thought we might as well go for it. Even though we donated our kidneys, there are still thousands of people out there who need them. I don't know if that kidney out there is still functioning but we can only hope that it is.
