It offers stunning views of the Cairngorms
An Aviemore walk has been crowned the best in Scotland for those looking for a festive hike this winter season.
Its pick for Scotland is Loch Morlich in the Highlands, which has a distance of 3.1 miles and takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete. David Wilson Homes has classed it as an 'easy' walk, making it perfect for those unable to take on a challenging hike. The Loch Morlich Trail loops around the water, giving walkers one-of-a-kind views of the mountains above. In some conditions, the Cairngorms can even be seen reflected in the water.
Additionally, Loch Morlich is home to a watersports centre, with kayaking, sailing and windsurfing on offer. There is also a yacht club and cycling routes around the loch.
