Beware of the 'clever birds' when hiking
A Scottish hiker has urged others to"beware the ravens" following several incidents in which the birds have destroyed people's belongings during climbs.
"Arriving back at the packs, the clients were relieved to see that their packs were unharmed but two other packs had been seriously attacked. Food wrappers, tissues and half eaten food were scattered over a wide area. Adrian added:"So, be warned. These birds are clever and know that the presence of people means a potential source of food.
"Understand and respect nature. I love being out in the hills and watching the ravens soar free on the thermals but definitely don’t want to find my pack has been trashed by their beaks and talons."
