Warnings for ice are currently in place
The Met Office has issued a second weather warning for Nottinghamshire in a week. It comes after yesterday's 'level 3' weather warning for the region and forecasters predicting minus figures for the next few days.
Yesterday, Tuesday, December 6, between Wednesday, December 7 and Monday, December 12. Now, with temperatures predicted to plummet to -3, a second warning has been issued, this time for ice. The warning states that Nottinghamshire could expect some disruption due to icy surfaces. Adding that residents in the area should "expect the probability of some icy patches on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths". It also warned of the potential for some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces.Yesterday's alert covered Nottinghamshire and other parts of England, including neighbouring counties of Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire.
Warnings of ice are currently in place for Wednesday, December 7, Thursday, December 8 and Friday December 9. However, the forecast shows temperatures as low as -3 between now and Monday, December 12.
