A two-week delay in easing restrictions would be used to ensure even more people are fully vaccinated.

Boris Johnson is reportedly considering a delay to June 21 ‘freedom day’ but has yet to fully accept it is holding firm for now.

But contingency plans for a revised roadmap are already under private discussion in Whitehall, reports claim. Any delay would be used to get more people fully vaccinated – like the Prime Minister himself, who had his second jab yesterday Independent scientists have urged the Government to reconsider the June 21 unlocking but hospitality sector bosses have reacted with fury to the reports.
