He suffered a fatal brain injury while in the care of Tustin, who was found guilty of murder and handed a life sentence with a minimum term of 29 years.The Attorney General, Suella Braverman, has now asked appeals judges to assess the terms under the Unduly Lenient Sentence scheme. ‘Emma Tustin and Thomas Hughes grossly abused their position of trust and subjected an innocent child, who they should have been protecting to continued emotional and physical abuse.
