The seven homes would help to pay for the upkeep of the grade-II listed farmhouse on the edge of Longridge which is falling into disrepair 🏘️
Plans to build seven new homes on land near the Ashes Farm west of Longridge, have been submitted to Preston City Council.The site lies within the countryside and comprises two fields which lie between Halfpenny Lane and The Ashes Farmhouse.
The homes would be set both to the north and south of the existing entry drive and would be accessed directly off of Halfpenny Lane. The planning report’s heritage statement said: “The new houses flanking the part of the access driveway closest to the Lane will be set back from the drive therein minimising any impact on views of the listed building.
“The site provides a high-quality residential development, which surrounds an existing cluster of buildings and adjacent to consented residential development on the edge of the settlement of Longridge.
