Sheep stuck on quarry ledge for a week couldn't be saved because it was too dangerous
The rescue of a sheep that had become stuck on a ledge for a week didn't end as well as you might have hoped.
A farmer told emergency services that the sheep had been stuck for nearly a week and although the farm animal was still moving and eating, it had nowhere to go. RPMRT were deployed at 12.40pm and met with the fire and rescue team at the quarry, before being guided by the farmer to the location above the stranded sheep.After finding the sheep, the mountain rescue team used a rope kit as well as a Polaris ATV to try and try and rescue the animal.

"The team were deployed and met with the fire and rescue at the quarry, before being guided by the farmer to the location above the stranded sheep. Once an assessment was made, we got the required rope kit along with our Polaris ATV to the top of the quarry to set up a rope system to protect someone to get a better view and make a practical assessment.
