Owners of The Good Life also issued a stark warning to customers
A zero-waste mini market in Heaton Mersey has confirmed it will be closing its doors in September due to difficult trading circumstances.
"Those of you who have followed me on my Good Life journey will know the love and time I have put into the store. The decision to close has been one I have avoided, but personal circumstances coupled with a 30% drop in sales this year on top of declining sales last year have left me no option. "It's not in my positive nature to do this, but I ask you all to think very carefully about where you spend your hard-earned cash...because the CEOs of big corporations have no idea who you are."One person wrote: "Really sorry to hear this - we loved this store. It helped us reduce our plastic waste and your prices were always so much better than competitors. Plus it was just a lovely community vibe. Thank you and hope to see you in Stockport.
And a third said: "Really sad to hear this Shelley. We have loved having your store so close and reducing our plastic usage through the refills on offer. We hope that the Stockport store goes on to thrive and can provide you with the income you need."
