Music legend's representatives release statement saying he has been discharged after check ups
Sir Elton John was rushed to hospital after suffering an accident while at his villa in France. The legendary 76-year-old musician was taken to hospital after the incident late on Sunday night.
He underwent treatment at the orthopaedic department of the Princess Grace hospital in Monac, the Mirror reported. A representative for Sir Elton confirmed the ordeal in a newly released statement, saying he suffered a ‘slip’. “We can confirm that following a slip yesterday [Sunday] at his home in the south of France,” they said. “Elton visited the local hospital as a precautionary measure.”
“Following check ups, he was immediately discharged this morning and his now back at home and in good health.” It comes just days after Elton threw a star-studded bash on a £21m superyacht with multiple A-listers in tow. The Rocket Man singer invited plenty of well-known stars such as husband David Furnish, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Susannah Constantine and David Walliams.
