MMA star suffers horrific knee injury seconds before fight begins
On Thursday, the 8-0 prospect was supposed to square off against 26-11 fighter Martin Mollinedo in the main event of FFC 64 in Lima, Peru.Everything seemed to be going to plan as the 22-year-old entered the cage, but things went badly wrong when he jumped in the air and stamped his feet to the floor.An apparent injury became obvious to those inside Teatro Leguia when the pain became too much, and he dropped to the floor in agony.
Groans echoed around the arena as the Ecuadorian fighter covered his face and clutched his knee before trying to stand up ahead of his fight with Mollinedo.
