Snow is forecast to hit Greater Manchester next week as temperatures to plummet
It may be the first day of meteorological spring, but don’t put away that big coat just yet as Greater Manchester could still see some snow next week. After a reasonable February with above average temperatures, the mercury is set to plummet once more as March kicks off with a chilly start.
At the weekend things will turn a little cooler in Greater Manchester. A high of 7C is forecast for Saturday, but it will feel like 5C. It will remain overcast with only a slight possibility of rain. Sunday will be colder still, with the mercury expected to reach a maximum of 6C, with a feels like temperature of just 4C. Overnight temperatures will drop to 2C as Monday gets off to a cold and cloudy start.
And the BBC has forecast snow and sleet showers in the region are likely throughout the rest of the week with temperatures expected to remain low.
