Snowfall has been predicted for parts of Scotland and the north of England this weekend
The Met Office is forecasting the first snow of the winter will hit parts of UK this week with temperatures set to plunge.
Snow is now expected to fall in parts of Scotland and the north of England this weekend as the 'Indian Summer' comes to a dramatic end. According to weather maps, snow is expected to hit Scotland at 4am on Sunday, October 15Far north parts of England, including Northumberland, are also expected to see snowfall at roughly 2cm per hour, the M.E.N reports.
"Monday will see showers easing, bringing fine and dry conditions for many. As the period progresses, unsettled conditions are most likely. While drier spells are possible, it’s more likely to be wetter than average.
