Team members at a social enterprise have said that they were close to tears when bags filled with toys arrived at their north Glasgow base to be distributed to families in need as part of our Toy Bank appeal.

This year, the return of our campaign, which is funded by kind donations from members of the public and sponsors, seeks to help save Christmas for families across the city.

With statistics showing that 25% of children in Glasgow are living in poverty, the appeal will help to take pressure off hard-working mums, dads or guardians who are struggling to make ends meet amid the cost of living crisis. While supporting women who have suffered trauma or are living in poverty is a year-round calling for the Benview Street team, they say that witnessing the joy Toy Bank donations bring to families over the holidays is a personal highlight.
