Football legend Sol Campbell has been forced to take legal action after claiming someone renting out his eight-bedroom Chelsea mansion failed to pay rent.
The former England star is understood to have let the ‘magnificant’ six-storey property overlooking the Thames in South WestBut the centre-back says he was forced to go to court for an eviction order when the tenant failed to pay rent, theThe renter, who claimed to have sold their insurance business for £1 billion, signed up for a two-year contract through the estate agency Savills.
Sol is understood to have hired a private investigator to help find out more about the tenant who in turn discovered their name among the Panama Papers, which exposed the financial records of the world’s richest.Sol has decided to put his Chelsea mansion on the market for £22m ‘He’s apparently getting divorced, he’s paying two or three staff, he’s paying school fees.
