Herts Police discovered a “sophisticated” cannabis factory yesterday, seizing an estimated £200,000 worth of drugs.
Officers forced their way into the address in Moor Park to find the plants growing alongside harvested buds, fertiliser, and other growing equipment.
“As you can see in the photos,” Herts Police said, “this is a sophisticated grow and by discovering this, it has allowed us to seriously disrupt this organisation in the supply of cannabis”.The Three Rivers Operation Scorpion officers, who carried out the bust with help from the Operational Support Group, are still investigating exactly who was running the operation.
The force added: “Fast time, pro-active intelligence built up by Oxhey Safer Neighbourhood Team and Team C Intervention overnight, led the scorpion team to the address yesterday morning.” Herts Police’s “proactive” Operation Scorpion unit operates largely plain-clothed and unmarked, targeting burglars and robbers as well as drug and vehicle crime.We want our comments to be a lively and valuable part of our community - a place where readers can debate and engage with the most important local issues.
