Enrolment days for further education take place on 24-25 August
With many young people receiving their GCSE results this Thursday and considering the next step of their education, it can be a daunting time for students and parents to make an informed decision on the right pathway to take.
“Melissa decided to apply to SERC because she didn’t feel she wanted to go back to sixth form, as it didn’t hold her interest and she wanted to get hands-on experience in music. Attending the open evening in Bangor was very beneficial, because it let me, as a parent, see what the options were for her, and where it could lead her. Since coming to SERC, Melissa has gained so much confidence – so much more than when she was at school.
Alison Horner, mother to Erin Horner, a current student on the Level 3 Diploma in Hospitality and Events, shared her thoughts on the progression pathway through SERC:
