Trains will be far fewer in number than on previous strike days, South Western Railway warns.
A rail operator has warned it will close most of its network during a strike by train drivers on Friday.
No trains will run west of Basingstoke or south of Guildford and there will be no service between London and Reading. "Friday 1 September will be different to previous days of strike action with a lot fewer trains running and with the majority of the network closed.
