The 29-year-old man who died after he was stabbed in New Haven Monday night was a Southern Connecticut State University student, according to police.
Professors Andrew Smyth and Erin Larkin remembered his as “well-known and well-loved” and said he had an “empathic, kind spirit and a true intellectual curiosity.”
“There are no words to describe the profound sorrow we feel as a community because of Nico’s passing,” a statement from the university said.
