Speeding cop caught driving at 112mph while off-duty allowed to keep their job
A police officer has escaped with a written warning after being caught speeding at 112mph on a motorway while off-duty.
It did not reveal what sanction the court handed out - a driving ban and a substantial fine is normally imposed for anyone caught doing more than 100mph. Another cop was sacked following a conviction for drink driving and another was dismissed following a conviction for animal cruelty, according to the bulletin.
