Tottenham beat London rivals and Man United snubbed as possible Euro 2028 stadiums revealed
Old Trafford boasts the highest Premier League capacity with 74,310 but the City of Manchester Stadium, home to rivals Manchester City, has been selected instead.Everton’s new Bramley-Moore Docks ground joins Villa Park, Aston Villa’s home ground, and Newcastle’s St. James’ Park.
The average capacity of the selected stadia is around 58,000, with more than 3,000,000 tickets available for fans. A statement from the FA said: “High-capacity, world-famous football grounds and state-of-the-art new venues will provide the platform for the biggest and most commercially successful UEFA EURO ever – making us a low risk, high reward host.”Turkey are also battling for the rights to host Euro 2028, with UEFA set to make their decision in September.UK and Ireland host stadiums and capacitiesTottenham Hotspur Stadium – London, EnglandSt.
