Squid Game-inspired TikTok trend sees spike in children suffering horrific burns
A SQUID Game-inspired TikTok trend has seen a spike in children suffering horrific burns — with some needing skin grafts.The dalgona candy challenge features in the hit Netflix show Squid Gameproduces a syrup which sticks to skin if spilled.
The British Burn Association tweeted: “Warning. Burns services are seeing a spike in burn injuries following #squidgame and #honeycomb trend.Prof Kayvan Shokrollahi added: “The age range of patients admitted recently is 11 to 15. A number have needed skin grafts.”
