Stevie Nicks pens emotional note to late 'best friend' Christine McVie after her death
Stevie Nicks has paid tribute to her late friend and Fleetwood Mac bandmate Christine McVie following her tragic death this week.
Taking to her Instagram, the 74 year old singer-songwriter shared a picture of a handwritten note, where she explained: "A few hours ago I was told that my best friend in the whole world since the first day of 1975 had passed away. The star continued: "So, since Saturday, one song has been swirling around in my head, over and over and over. I thought I might possibly get to sing it to her, and so, I'm singing it to her now.She then shared the lyrics of the song, which went: "I had a best friend/ But she has now come to pass.
She signed off her note by adding: "See you on the other side, my love. Don't forget me – Always, Stevie," and captioned the post: "rip beautiful songbird we love u stevie," with four red heart emojis.
