The Met Office has warned that there is a risk of injuries and danger to life from flying debris caused by strong winds, large waves in coastal areas and deep floodwaters. It said some communities in parts of Northern Ireland may be cut off. The strongest winds will affect parts of south-west England and south-west Wales, which could see gusts in excess of 60mph, he added.
He said: “Conditions will be atrocious with a wholly unpleasant mix of very strong winds and locally intense rainfall.
