Stranger Things' Noah Schnapp has come out as gay, as he shared a playful TikTok video with his 31.1million followers after telling his family.
Above the video, Noah wrote: "When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was, 'We know.'"Noah plays Will Byers on Stranger Things and there has often been speculation as to whether the character is gay, due to his affection for Mike Wheeler, and now it seems that Noah has proven fans right.
Speaking to Variety, the star said: "Obviously, it was hinted at in Season 1: "It was always kind of there, but you never really knew, is it just him growing up slower than his friends? Now that he's gotten older, they made it a very real, obvious thing.
Noah was thrust into the spotlight when Stranger Things became a massive hit. It sees a group of young friends witness supernatural forces and secret government exploits, and is one of Netflix's most-watched shows.
