Five primary school children have died after contracting Group A streptococcal disease, known as Strep A.
In the unrelated cases, Muhammed Ibrahim Ali, four, died this week. He attended Oakridge School and Nursery in High Wycombe. Group A Strep can cause throat infection, scarlet fever or skin infections such as cellulitis or impetigo. These infections are usually treated with antibiotics.
